Arthritis

Arthritis is an inflammation of the joints that causes mild to severe pain and immobility. The joints most susceptible to pain and inflammation are the fingers, hips, knees, spine and ankles. Common forms of arthritis include osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia. Each form of arthritis has its own unique symptoms and causes. People of all ages, not just the elderly, can be affected by arthritis.

Many people choose to take nutritional supplements to ease inflammation and help support the joints. Natural enzymes such as those found in bromelain, act quickly to help reduce swelling without any nasty side effects. Glucosamine sulphate can help rebuild cartilage. Antioxidants are often taken as they protect the joints from free radical damage. Essential fatty acids, such as evening primrose oil, is another popular choice among sufferers.
