Amino Acids
Amino Acids
Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins needed to build every cell in the body, from red blood cells to the cells in your skin, organs and bones. Proteins consist of 22 amino acids altogether, 8 of which are essential: L-arginine, L-histidine, L-leucine and L-isoleucine, L-lysine, L-methionine, L-phenylalanine, L-threonine, L-tryptophan and L-valine. Essential amino acids cannot be made in the body and must be taken from the diet.
Non-essential amino acids are formed by essential amino acids, they include L-carnitine, L-cysteine, L-glutamine, L-taurine and L-tyrosine. Amino acids play an important role in many aspects of health e.g. helping with fatigue, anemia, nausea, immune system function, memory, depression and the metabolism of fat.

Viridian NAC+ (60 Caps)
€26.75NAC is a precursor to the amino acid cysteine, which ultimately plays two key metabolic roles. Through its metabolic contribution to glutathione production, cysteine participates in the general antioxidant activities of the body. Through its role as a modulator of the glutamatergic system, cysteine influences the reward-reinforcement pathway. In this way NAC may well offer promise in issues such as OCD hair pulling and nail biting and possibly more prevalent addictive behaviours. NAC+ Veg Caps from Viridian Nutrition offers a combination of NAC (N-acetyl cysteine), Chromium, L-Glutamine and Cinnamon. The accessory elements in this formula - Chromium, L-Glutamine and Cinnamon - offer supportive actions to NAC.

Natures Aid L-Lysine 1000mg 60 Tablets
€7.45L-Lysine is an indispensable amino acid that cannot be made by the body and must be taken in by the diet. Amino acids form the basis for protein, which helps construct and maintain the critical structures in the body. Lysine is also used for the health and integrity of skin.
The administration of Lysine has shown to reduce the severity of cold sore attacks and accelerate the healing time in herpes infections. It has also demonstrated the ability to bind with lead and help excrete it from the body. Lysine along with the nutrients, iron and vitamin C, are required for collagen synthesis.
