Traditional Tea

Traditional Tea

All tea comes from the Camilla Sinensis tea bush, whether it becomes black, green or white tea depends on what happens after it is picked. Black tea is typically withered, rolled and left to ferment and develop its flavour before being heated again. There are many varieties to choose from including Ceylon, Darjeeling, Assam, Keemun and Nilgiri, all named after the region in which they are grown.

Black tea is rich in antioxidants which help to prevent cell damage. Research has shown that amino acid L-theanine found in black tea can help you relax and concentrate better. Flavoured black teas, such as Earl Grey, are also very popular. Earl grey is a black tea flavoured with bergamot orange oil. It has a bright, bold and refreshing taste.
